Wow - that Google Earth map is great! I hadn't gone to that site - and your labels of pizza alley and TR really helps. Have you labeled any other locations in Lima?

I'm headed there on November 5 and am doing it a little different than most other guys. I decided to enroll in a spanish language school - El Sol - for the first week, mornings only. I'm also going to live with a local host family for five nights. I realize that it will limit my "activities" for the first week, but I wanted to get connected with the local people and try out the spanish school idea. I will still have some free time in the afternoons and a few evenings. The second week I will travel to Machu Picchu for three days and then return to Lima for about four days. I expect to really make good use of the four days in Lima after having learned my way around during the first week. We'll see.

Thanks again for the locations! I'll play around with Google Earth and see what else I can find.

I live in Miraflores, walking distance from Tequila Rock Next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I was really bored Friday (26/Jan/2008). So I decided to take a run to Tequila Rock. I have been living in Lima since October 2007. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I took a short trip.
The conversation in spanish over Tequila and the quality of girls is un-true.
From my perspective, the women from the Selva (Cholas y Negras, being black myself), they are quite beautiful by American Standards and World standard. If you looking for blond and blue eyes then maybe it is not the place for you.
. To make a long story short. I was amazed at the quality of girls. So, I have no complaint. I will try it Wednesday nights. to see how the action is and report back. There were J-LOs-Shakiras, Salmas and Beyonces. Take your pick. Easy access and not as expensive as many clubs. (20 soles cover, then quik pick). Spent 10 dolares on 2 drinks, that is excellent at any club. I like Tequila rock, I do not have to go far for a quicky. So I slip out of the hosue and slip back in (-:, One happy man.

Dear finecannibal ... I had some advice for you, if the girl you choose tells you that she is "new" there or that is the "only" place where she works ..... Do not believe all that stuff ... I know that for many of the "chicas", Tequila is a kind of "second part-time job" ... many of the girls there work in the morning in other places like : Cucardas, Troca, Scarlet, etc. etc. etc. .... so you must be carefull because if they did not have a good day in their "official" place where they work in the morning ... they definitely go to Tequila at nights in order to catch a gringo to get some dollars in an easy way in order to recover losing time in their morning work .... Watch out all the time your wallet, credit cards, watch, etc. etc. etc. etc. ... It just an advice

Hello. Thanks for this gr8 forum. I wanted to know if any of you have been to the TR in San Isidro? If so how does it compare to the one in Miraflores?

Not sure if it is true, so perhaps some others can confirm, but one of the girls from Tequila has just informed me that the Municipality has closed the Miraflores operation. This was last night I think. I was there on Tuesday, and all seemed well. She told me that all staff and girls have headed over to San Isidro. So I guess we are all going to find out what the San Isidro place is like.
If this is true then the Municipality really are a stupid bunch... Half the hotels in Miraflores will now be empty. Lets hope it is only a temporary affair.

It is confirmed closed for about a month!

I have heard reports of business going on 'as usual' at the newer San Isidro TR location.

I stopped by there on my last trip, and the place is a quarter of the size of the Miraflores disco.

How do they fit all the girls in? Where have the rest of them gone?

Well some chicas came here. A few of them. I was there last days ans saw some of them. But i think there is a big number of them that went to another place. I dont know where, and the location is little...... but is confortable.... really nice...

Hi everybody - I'm new in this forum and this is my first post. However I'm not exactly new in Lima and have been here several times.

Yesterday at about 11 pm I passed by the TR in Miraflores. Lights were on, at least 10-15 Serenazgos outside, blue flashing lights, but everything looked very "calm", no discussions, no screaming, just nothing. Never seen a similar scene before. Maybe a reopening inspection?

Anyway I chose to walk away.
