Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | Polvos Azules street girls Polvos Azules is a large area that sells everything from electronics to clothes to tourist knicknacks. I like it. Anyways, from where your taxi drops you off, it cost me anywhere from 6-8 soles from miraflores, go straight through to the other side, as you exit from the market, that is ave GRAU. Turn left, go to the corner and cross the street, stay on the left hand side. There you will find probably 20 or so street girls of various styles. All wanted 20 soles and told me room was included. One told me she did not do oral and the all told me the wanted payment up front. They would not take half or negotiate at all. My first experience with one of these girls was a con and a rip, so I basically refused to partake. So, caveat emptor here, buyer beware, there were some cuties, but not worth just throwing the money out the window. Security was good, it was across the street, be aware, but it wasn't off the chain. This was around 8:00 PM.

Poder de Credibilidad: 25 | | | Very dangerous area Those girls are not recommendable. All of them are ilegal, the police are rounding them every now and then, many are infected with several STDs as reported almost every week in the newspapers, many work with "crawlers" (while you are "at it" someone crawls into the room and empties your pockets) and so on. In two words: Very Dangerous.

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | I'm afraid I have to second our Moderator's comment regarding this place. It is VERY VERY risky to get one of those girls. As previously said, they are very likely to have any STD. There are minors among them also.
Most of these girls are druged with Terokal (a brand of glue) which they hold in a plastic bag.
You can also see them surrounded with some guys with not very friendly faces that can give you trouble.
If they don't take you to a hostal it is very likely that they will rob you while you are having sex, they even wet the floor so you dont wanna go after the robber.
And finally, if you do take the risk, usually these girls don't strip all the way, usually keeping their top on.
It might look like a bargain for 20 soles but there is a lot to risk. I must admit that a few times i kindda felt suicidal and got a girl, once I got robbed, the next the girl didn't want me to penetrate her once I paid her, she just wanted me to kindda masturbate between her legs I protested and she said she would leave or if I wanted problem She would give ME problem... And the two other times the girls were as cold as dead fish, didnt want to take their tops off, were dirty and hurried me to finish...
Not recommendable.

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | High risk I also would not recommend that place for safety reasons (health and personal security). First these girls have no interest or resources to get the clearance from STD periodically, and second the place are surrounded by thieves and in many cases girls are part of the gangs.

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | This place is pasaje Jose Galvez, It is thoroughly explained in the spanish section.
It is a place of rather shifty character, you have to be on the top of your game if you play here. This means you have to know what you want and know how to play the street walkers. The street walkers are tough as nails and probably more than a little bitter at men.
This means if you approach with a frame of mind that is begging them to do for you, then they're gonna smack you around and rape your pockets.
BUT
If you can be firm and controlling while still being pollite, then you can have these bitches at your whim.
Mind you, if you did not already know, the ripoff ones are the ones working out of "huecos" that is to say, the rooms and random holes in the wall that are NOT labeled hostals (look for doors that do not have awnings)...
You know, I can't really go into detail about this kind of thing, the best I can do is say that is is alot of common sense, I have been going to this place for about a year and a half and have been ripped off only once.
so, PM me if you're interested in a guided tour and tutorial about this place and others like it.

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | Been a long time, I have been with any girls there. My M.O. is to park my car in Polvos Azules, leaving all valuables in the car with the exception of my 23 soles and a bottle of Inca kola. I would walk downstairs and out the side door facing San isidro. Making a left and crossing over the next street there was a place known as "110A". 1 sole to get in and the bottle of Inca Kola ensured a uninterupped session. Selection was marginal with the exception of one hottie (who I saw weekly) Lily or something. Execellent looks, attitude and service! I had her number for some time but there are to many alternatives. |

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | unfortunately limabusy, this place is no more.
I never had the courage of entering since it was a run down place that looked like someone was waiting to hit whoever came it.
So, I have no idea, but I was curious lately and passed by, and lo and behold this place was gone, it's a store now.
The places in downtown lima seem to be drying up, the mayor's attempt at making his district seem more "righteous"
I've been expanding my ring of known places beyond the city limits, I went to Collique a few days ago, and searched out places by megaplaza on the panamerican highway north.
caught a few leads, and will follow up on them this weekend.
but I'm getting off topic, there are a few girls around polvos azules that are on the other side of the block.
that is to say the next street west of pasaje Jose Galvez. There is a broken down short yellow school bus in front of the hostal, and some girls working right in front of the place, they normally wear white pants for some reason... MY recommendation is this....DON'T GO THERE
these girls are hardened pros, they don't even fake at being nice, the girl sucked me spitting every couple of minutes, then smelled horrible when she got on all fours, and when I started coming she pulled away and started getting dressed while I was still COMING, what a bitch!
so, I have said my piece, stay away unless you want a cold whore

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | Please Don't Risk It. Play It Safe I wonder why are some of you Gringos always taking unnecesary risks looking for girls in the most risky neighborhoods of Lima, you take so many risks, you could be bribed, robbed, or get a venereal desease or even worse get HIV, or end in a hospital.
Polvos Azules is a no no zone. Only the scum of Lima go to those places, please take my advice I will hate to read in the papers than an American has being found dead in the river Rimac by some junkies.
Please take my advice and be safe stay in Miraflores, San Isidro, San Borja or Barranco, you can find beautiful girls there and you will have a always good memories of your stay in our country, please take care of yourselves.

Poder de Credibilidad: 0 | | | I understand your concern, but I live here for now, so, I want to get to know how to move around the less reputable places.
Call it a kind of training, I figure if I ever have to go somewhere I won't be scared shitless. Most cities I've been to have a really bad place where people say you will die if you go there.
So far I'm still alive, and I figured out that it's common sense that keeps me that way.
It's not so much the girls I'm after (hell, after that last experience I'm sure I'll not go back to that place again). but knowing where everything is and seeing first hand how bad it can get, it makes me appreciate the nice places even more.

MACHO | RT here. I agree with Macho Picho.
And hell, if I need to bust a cheap nut, there are plenty of 50 sol joints in the districts that MP mentioned, or I take a trip to the Trocadero. But I am tall and heavy to start with, and I try not to go somewhere where I will stick out like a sore thumb any more than is necessary.
Having said that, I kind of admire the adventuresome spirit of some of our foristas, but some of you guys have told me stuff that has really worried me. Yeah, you can say, "I'm still alive." but you only get one chance to get it wrong.
Have a nice day. I wish I was in Peru. |

right? | D**m right, I happen to agree with Macho_Picho, and I have myself recommended all of you not to go there, but I perfectly understand you, xyconyx, because I am just like you; or rather was, in my 20's and 30's.
I've been to the most dangerous neighborhoods in Lima and other cities in Peru like Chimbote, Paita or Callao; and no only in Peru but also in Germany (Hamburg, Berlin), England (Liverpool), and some others; and the excuse was always the same: "One has to learn to move around, and behave and be safe... anywhere" It was like when the locals told me "don't go there, it is dangerous," there was the first place I went, and not always at the safest time of the day. My first time at St. Pauli in Hamburg-Germany was on a Friday night at 10:00 pm; and I am a very cholo-looking cholo, only 5'4" tall and weighing only 140 pounds (I was very young then), so I was like a fly in the milk there.
Why do we, men, behave like that? It beats me. Now I am worried to death whenever my children do half as much what I did at their age, and I do my best to prevent them from doing it. But I completely understand the feeling.
And you are completely right at this, xyconyx: We are supposed to discuss our experiences here, good or bad, so the readers can make up their minds and decide to take the risk... or not. And we are supposed to post warnings too. So this is one of those discussions where both sides are right.
I am one of those who can say "Hell, I am still alive and in one piece"; but it is very true that I have been incredibly lucky and that, for those of us who like to take risks, the first mistake, the first miscalculation, can be the very last. That is why I don't do it anymore.
Good luck everybody, and... keep posting, all of you.

It's true that we all have a venture some spirit, we like to despise danger.
Equally we aren't obligated to obey tips. But also it is true that we should minimize risk. All over when we are supposed to offer a suitable advice. Nobody is required to pay attention to the tips. |

We welcome all points of view and encourage all to share their experiences. I am especially proud of everyone in that we all shared our different points of view and acted like adults, all at the same time.
And now that many people have chirped in, readers can make their own informed decisions as to whether or not to give the area a whirl. If they decide to go, I hope to hear of their expeiences, and I hope that they are good ones. Just be careful, that's all. |

Dear RT can I suggest to add "and have good luck & God (never mind if faithful or not, ANY help is welcome over there) bless you" before "that's all."? Compared to other Latin American countries, Peru is very safe IMHO. But if I would be asked for a "no-go" place here, Polvos Azules would be it...
Cheers!
