Oh i almost forgot the location of this place is between the Bauzate & Meza Avenue and Aviacion avenue in the district called La Victoria, maybe you can locate this place in an easier way just going through the aviacion avenue from Javier Prado avenue that i guess you know well.

On the other boards this area is commonly referred to as Gamarra. There are two places here, with the San Jose bieng more popular. Gringos who venture here are commonly advised to go between 7am-10am. It is a few blocks from a well known shopping area which is notorious for its robberies of extraneros.
Probably better off seeking out that gem in the places around Polvo Azules or along Alfonso Ugarte if you like wandering in central.

I've also noticed that the San Jose place is very popular and some reviews of the second floor chicas are good and interesting. However, as far as i can remember, the area is very unsafe even for locals.
None of my peruvian budies has ever mentioned this place, but i know they visit El Trocadero and Las Cucardas. Also, the 16 soles price seems to me too low for a chica in Lima.
On my September trip to Lima, i intend to visit this place to satisfy my curiosity. I don't intend to get laid. Of course, I will go early in the morning, dressed appropriately and wearing old sneakers.

Well , I did some exploring of San Jose last trip. I think I went 4 different times in the morning. It is in a seedy area of La Victoria about the same level of sleeze as Calle 6 which I have frequented in San Jose , Costa Rica. There is some good qulality there particuarly on the second floor and some cute girls here and there on the third floor. I saw about 6 girls there all good experiences but a couple stood out. I saw one girl on the Second floor who was a solid 8 and looked good enough to work about anywhere in Lima. It is a high volume place so the earlier the better and reported to open at 6:30 AM.The earliest I went was about 8 one morning when I wore up early quite a few of grils were'nt there yet but it was easier to get the good ones that were there.
I highly recommend printing directions form the Spainish forum as it is not easy to find. The cabie who took me there first visit was very helpful and got out and taked to a guy to give me directions to the place. You have to walk the last couple of blocks though a huge vegetable market to get to the place and needless to say no sign. It does however have that look of a stairway to a brothel. One visit the cab was off mark dropping me off on the side rood through the area two or three blocks off so I walked quite a few blocks before I located the street it is on. Several blocks are closed in this huge market area where all kinds of things are for sale of course including sexo in San Jose.
I dropped into a local bar one visit and had a beer partly out of curriousity to see how cheap it was and it was 3 sol for a large Crystal.
Needless to say visiting this area is a cultural experince on how the poor locals live in Lima.rbc100
Don't risk it, san Jose is the worst zone in Lima full of Thiefs, and all kind of low people, drug dealers, pickpocketers, and the gringos or any white peruvian people atand up like a sore finger, and for them, if you are white or gringo you are loaded and an easy prey.

I was disappointed to hear San Jose Brothel was closed last Friday morning. Glad I got to visit last trip and check it out. I liked to place but agree it is not for everyone. Just curious as to local news as whether there is a chance it may reopen. The outlook is not good based on what I have seen so far on the Spainish forum.rbc100
At last San Jose was closed, it was a very dangerous place with double risk first being bribed and second you could easily get infected with any venereal dsisease.
That the best thing that could have happened to al american monger that wanted to try that low, cheap brothel.
