I am staying here for two nights this trip.
PROS:
It's free -- I am using Priority Club points and the room only set me back 5,000 points per night.
I was able to pick up a random wireless signal from my room.
The front desk guy rebounded well from initially losing my reservation.
Location, Location, Location. Central to everything in Miraflores.
Guests are allowed.
Both 110 and 220 outlets.
Good water pressure.
Blackout curtains.
24-Hour room service. A beer and a soda were only 13 soles -- delivered.
CONS:
If you have to pay for a room, they're expensive.
Wireless is $10 per day if you can't find a signal to steal.
The bed is a little soft.
My guest showed up. The front desk called. When I told them to send her up, there was a security goon at my door with her having me sign her in. Get a grip.
Rough towels. And only two of them.
Location, Location, Location. Street noise.
Other than not paying anything for the room, I wouldn't stay here again, I think. Even at free, it's probably not worth burning points over, when you consider the plethora of $30-$40 rooms available in the city.
If you are going to spend the money on a name-brand, American style hotel, you're much better off with the Doubletree.

With the big deal that they made every time a girl showed up, I was prepared to get hit up for a guest charge upon checkout. I couldn't believe that they would act so retarded without a financial payoff.
But I was wrong. There is no guest fee at the Holiday Inn -- just annoyance.
