Hotels In San Miguel:

I stayed in San Miguel last couple of days and like the area plus more centrally located to venues I prefer and my present novia. I stayed in Santa Maria which was fine but traffic was a bit loud. Looking for something in 40 to 50 sol range. Just good clean basic room with hot water. I noticed Hotel Wimbleton had good reviews on the Spainsh forum and curious where it is with respect to entertainment area or outhers that will be companion freindly. I plan to make this home base next trip. rbc100

Being in Av Costanera, Hotel Wimbledon is somewhat away from the center of the action. It is by the seaside, facing the sea in fact.

RT here.

Try the Golden Tower Hotel. It is right across the street from Plaza San Miguel, and it has a Banos Turcos on the top floor. I looked at their second best room (about $35) and it was very nice. They have rooms in the $25-50 range as well.

Well , I lived in San Miguel many years and I`ve never gone to Wimbledon Hotel, just because , La Paz and Costanera avenues aren’t safety places.
I would rather go to others hotels located at La Marina avenue, for instance Arizona and Oscars ; or Black Tower (La Marina and Unversitaria Corner).
Beside this, I would like to know , what’s the difference between “Baños Turcos” and Sauna, or they are exactly the same ?

I ran across this one [Solo usuarios registrados pueden ver este link ] sent them a email requesting a 2 week special and they responded promptly with a 10 sole discount and replied "el adicional por compania es de 15 nuevos soles por señorita". Obviously chica friendly, at the additional cost of 15 soles each.

I looked at Hostal Hollywood before I settled on Santa Maria and found it to be a bit rough for my taste but the price is good. I am not too picky and used to budget accomidations for what it is worth. Hotel Santa Maria is right across the street and somewhat nicer for 55 sol. per night but may also discount for longer stay.I was only there two and a half days and they gave me the last 12 hours before leaving for airport at night for half the daily price Only lady I brought back was my civilian novia so not sure how freindly they are for providers but would guess no problem.
