Maria Luisa Room Options

Can anyone give me more info on the different rooms for MAria Luisa.

Matrimonal is 18 USD a night

Jr Suite is 26 USD a night

Sr Suite is 37 USD

Damn that is cheap! I am staying 7 or 8 nights. I do not plan on cooking but fridge is nice.

Are the sr suites worth if if you are staying 7 nights?

In that it is so cheap 37 does not bother me.

I was considering the Maria Luisa, but I could never get any info regarding a/c, which is a must for me.

Just returned,I stayed in Jr Suite no A/C only a fan but I found no need at this time of year-Sat TV porn dvd"s played on C94.Never used kitchen but good to have a separate room to chill/spread out.Very friendly female reception staff(just flirt!) & no problem with guests-they telephone when arrive & just asked them to send in the lift.Just be discreet as there also probably normal guests here as well.Free internet allowed me to keep up with emails.I think good value for money in quiet st,security out front at nt & only 5 mins walk to Parque Kennedy,Tequila Rocks

Hi! I stayed at this hotel a couple of times and I have to say it's great. The first time I stayed here was in the Sr suite, I spent 120 soles (about $38 dollars) and you get a microwave, fridge and also some beers and soda. I like this suite because you have a separate room where you can sit and relax. The second time I went I stayed in a double room because all rooms were busy at that time but the room was very nice and clean so again it's a nice place to stay and of course it's really cheap.

Talking I Loved the Maria Luisa

I stayed last year in both the Jr. suite and the matrimonial. It is very clean, quiet, comfortable, safe, girl friendly and with a perfect location. Not the Marriott, mind you, but hardly a dump. I suppose it had air-conditioning but I can't swear to it as I was there in June. I know the room temperature was perfect. Even the least expensive room had a safe, carpet, TV with free extensive cable and a porn channel all the girls tuned to. The girls liked it there too. There is free internet in the lobby but no privacy, so I went to an internet cafe for my PeruTop research. The reception staff (all girls) was great; friendly and attractive. Not "that" friendly that I could tell, as I only flirted a little and was reluctant to be absolutely direct or ask one of them out. My only complaint was the slow (glacial) room service. I am hesitant to post this as upon my return from Cuzco without reservations I had to take the more expensive, yet inexpensive, Jr. Suite for a few days. I didn't need the living room or kitchenette. Check it out at [Solo usuarios registrados pueden ver este link ] The closest hotel, I think, to Tequila Rocks. Pura Vida!

There is never any real need for AC in Lima and right now you are far more likely to need heat than AC. It was very chilly when I got to Lima last week at 6AM in shorts and Tshirt after my luggage was lost.Hit the store when they opened at 9AM for warmer clothes for sure.rbc100

I stayed in both the JR suite and the one with the large jacuzzi. I liked the Jacuzzi room better as I never went in the other room in the JR suite The Jac. room has a great balcony for people watching

Greetings,
I read all the messages on the Maria Luisa. A couple of questions:
1) Does the room have a "safe" to store your cash and valuables? If not, is there a safe box in the reception area.
2) It is clear there is no A/C in the rooms. If required, can I open the room window?

Thanks.

1. The ML safe is not permanently installed. Upon request, the "guy on duty" will schlep one to your room. I'd prefer one permantly installed, cuz if it can be schlepped in... it could be schlepped out. Still - better than no safe at all.
2. The windows CAN be opened, but many lead to an outdoor walkway (mine did)... which leads to potential security issues.

Despite the above, I had no safely/security issues staying there, and would do so again.

WIFI in ML

Hi Lord,

Yes indeed, however, the signal is week and your room must be near the lobby or you can get any of the rooms facing south (towards alcanfores) where you can pick up the signal from a nearby hotel.
I am on the 2nd floor, fairly close the to lobby.
I'll be in ML until the 23rd.
Ask for Jockey.
Later,

I think this is the place for BeCell and myself to begin our Peru adventures. I see a few ISOC handles here as well.
