The next thing I know, it was 8:30 in the morning. I guess that getting up at 4:00 am took more out of me than I thought it would.
And it was cold. Way cold. It was hard to get out of bed to take a leak cold.
So cold, I couldn’t wait until Monday to buy a jacket. At 10:30, I was on Avenue Petit Thouars (the home of all the tourist crap
tiendas), trying to find a jacket large enough to fit. It took a while, but I got something with only two llamas on it for 55 Soles. I was warm, and ready to start my day.
I am a recovering drug addict, and have been clean for quite a bit of time now. One of the many advantages to my membership in Narcotics Anonymous is that I am a member of a worldwide organization, and I have a wealth of ‘friends I haven’t met yet’ in every city of the world. It turns out that today is World Unity Day, and it coincides with NA’s world convention, this year being held in San Antonio, Texas.
There is a live hookup of the main convention meeting transmitted to all interested parties. Many NA communities hold a common event. It’s pretty cool – you’re listening to a meeting that’s taking place on the other side of the Equator along with NA members throughout the world. The Peru Region was holding their event just a ten-minute ride from my apartment, from 9 am- 1:00 pm. I made it there by noon. The hook-up wasn’t all that great, but I was able to see some friends, listen to a speaker (in Spanish), and have a pretty good time. At the end of the meeting, recovering addicts everywhere joined together to say the Serenity Prayer – it was pretty powerful stuff.
(The reason that I share this apparently off-topic stuff is for the recovering person reading this that thinks they have to mix this hobby with using. You don’t. And you’re not alone.)
Now that I was spiritually refreshed as well as physically I was ready to continue with my day.
After the meeting, I decided that I needed to be treated like a king, so I decided that a visit to Relax y Vida was in order. At one time, there was only the one location (by the Interbank building), and then – for reasons I don’t fully understand – RyV #3 opened up. There was no #2, as far as I could tell. Then, one day, there was a #2. I haven’t seen any reports on it, so that’s where I went.
Turcos Arriola (Relax y Vida #2)
Av. Nicolas Arriola #290, Off. 205, Santa Catalina

Monday – Friday 5:30 pm – 11:30 pm
Saturday/Sunday/Holidays 10:00 am – 10:30 pm
Even though it has a different name, this is clearly a member of the RyV family. The mamasan recognized me from #1, the setup was the same (sit in the living room while the girls introduce themselves and bring you drinks), and it was like being home the first time. The mamasan asked me how I knew about the place (I lied and said that one of my friends told me), and I sat around chatting with the girls (four available when I was there) until I decided upon Tania.
They confirmed that I wanted an hour and the sauna, went and did whatever they did, and off the two of us went.
There is nothing like the treatment at Relax y Vida. My worst session there had been Very Good. And this was far from my worst session. Tania was wearing spiked heel boots, so she was pretty tall. We started out making out for a while, then she undressed me, took my clothes and folded them, had me lay on the table, and massaged me for a while, stopping every so often to kiss me.
After a bit, we went into the (connected) sauna, where we continued kissing and groping. She wound up down on her knees doing a spirited blowjob. I made one attempt to take this to the next level (there’s officially no sex at these places – some girls are known to break the rules). She refused. I reluctantly agreed, and had her remove the condom for the remainder of the blowjob. I finished on her chest, and I must say that I enjoyed doing it.
After, I got the standard exfoliation treatment, and was offered a shower. It turned out that the showers there only have cold water, but I was full of exfoliate and soap at the time, so I did what I had to do, but I can’t say that was the most pleasant part of my visit!
I got past that, and when we got back into the massage room to get dressed (she held my shirt for me while I put it back on!), she agreed (between kisses) to let me take a couple of photos. Her hair looked better before showering and sauna-ing, and she looks a little washed out without makeup, but you take what you can get.
I tipped her US$20 (the standard tip there is 50 soles, so I over tipped by about $3), and went out front to pay. Before I could get to the desk, the other chicas all came up and asked me if I enjoyed myself, and reminded me to come back soon.
I handed the mamasan my 100 Sol note, thinking that the price was 80 Soles. She handed me back a 50 and asked if I had 10 soles. I did, so she only charged me 60 Soles for the hour and 15 minutes. I don’t know if her math was bad or the prices are different there, but that’s what I paid.
After that, I was just a ten minute walk from Cebicheria Pez On. It’s on Av. Canada (corner #13), and the food is great, and it’s always crowded. I sat down, and ordered a trio of ceviches (“Senor Pez On” – fish, conchas negras, and shrimp), and what turned out to be fish parmesan (“Pizz On” – a fish filet, covered with seafood, and the covered with ham, a few olives, a little tomato sauce, and parmesan cheese, all baked in a plate. Both dishes were delicious. I have dinner plans for 8:00 tonight, but sometimes I can’t help myself. The total tab was 45 Soles. I paid with a $20, and had taxi fare back to the apartment.
I was home by 4:30, updated my notes, and rested and watched TV for a while.
Since I file a lot of trip reports, I often get mail from other guys who have Lima-related questions, or will be in town when I’m there, or something. The ones that say, “Hey, RT – where should I go for the hot girls?,” I just ignore. But if it’s from a guy that contributes and asks politely, I have no problem answering questions or meeting up with guys. That’s how I came up with my running partner for this evening.
He was staying at the Maria Luisa in Miraflores. I walked over to his hotel and met up at 8:00. We shot the shit a little, and decided to go out to dinner. I suggested Jose Antonio in San Isidro.
Jose Antonio is great. I had Scallops and then
Arroz con Pato (rice with duck), and my buddy had the Argentinean steak and something else as an appetizer (I don’t remember what). This guy has been around the block once or twice, so we killed a couple of hours talking and paid our 160 Sol bill ($25 each), before heading out to Scarlets in Los Olivos.
