wake around 9am wendsday morning and meet my friend down at the hotel cafe for breakfast..

he says he is taking his girlfriend down to get a her a passport!!

I tell him not worry about me,,but that I wanted to change hotels..my room was just WAY to small...while he was at the passport office I would go find another hotel..

around 10 I am showered and ready to go hotel shopping..I ask the desk clerk as I am walking out if she has any bigger rooms..she said yes but none could be looked at until 12..I decided to just wait and if I could get a bigger room at the nido it would be fine..

so I decided to just walk around miraflores a little and try to get familiar with the place again..

I head to jose largo and changed some money on the street with one of the currency exchange guys..lima is the ONLY city I will use a guy on the street to change money..in every other city I have been the street guys are usually running some kind of a scam..but in lima I have never heard of any getting ripped off or scammed exchanging money with these street guys..

I walk around awhile and stop at a starbucks and have a coffee..then I see a cute girl in a salon and ask her about a manicure/pedicure..I make an appointment for 4 and meet my friend back at the hotel around noon..

the room is still not cleaned but the other guest had checked out..room 601 was big enough and it has a jacuzzi..$60 a night..the small room was $40 a night..I will gladly spend the extra 20 a night to be comfortable..

mario has not returned from the passport office and I am not surprised..so I left a message for him that I will be back at 2 and we will go for lunch after I change rooms...

I walk down to larcomar and then stop in the marriott casino and it takes me an hour to lose 100 soles in a slot machine...

at 230 I am back at the hotel changing rooms and mario arrives and is happy..he has gotten the girl a passport..we are both amazed..usually, south american goverment agencies are horrible..but evidently the passport office in lima is on the ball..

we hang in my new big hotel room till about 345 and I head for the manicure/pedicure place..

we decide to meet at pizza ally around 5 so he can show me a massage place

we meet around 515 then take a walk to the massage place..the name if it is brittanica or something like that..I cannot remember the address but we finally found the place and a hot looking girl with her tits hanging out gave us the rundown..70 soles for a 30 minutes massage and 30 minute vapor room..I tell her I will back manana..she is HOT..

around 630 we stop at pizza ally and have a not so good meal at a place on calle de pizza even though I was hungry since I had not eaten since breakfast..

mario has a date with his girlfriend for the movies around 8..I tell him not to worry about me..I was just gonna go to the marriot casino when the table games are open and try to win enough money to pay for a teqilla rock girl..he says he will be at the pizza hut at larcomar around 11 if I wanted to get a late night snack since we had eaten basically eaten supper already

around 8 I am showered and shaved and go to the the marriott casino and holding my own but I am not far enough ahead to pay for a tequilla rock girl ..around 11 I decide to meet my friend for the pizza and he is not around..I had a bimbos burger which was different but very tasty..after my burger I go back to the casino and lose a 100..then around 1230 I figure there should be some talent in tequilla rock..I walk up jose largo towards tequilla rock..I find the place with no problems..

I pay my 20 soles entrance and an instantly surrounded by about 5 girls..I walk to the bar and I explain I am just looking right now in my broken spanish but they all sit real close just in case one of them becomes suddeny beautiful..then all of the sudden a hot one approaches me..she is the best I have seen so far..I chat with her then she wants to go to the back of the bar for a table..as we were walking away I hear 2 words in PERFECT english from one of the girls I have rejected..

BE CAREFUL..

damn ..for some reason I hated hearing that..

anyway..I just thought they were jealous the young hottie has scooped up the rich gringo..

we sit at the table and flirt awhile..then all of the sudden her sister has arrived...they want to go to my hotel tegether..I say NO...both seemed dissapointed but that is ok ...then I the asked the hottie how much for her alone...she says 100 dollar in perfect english..I tell her all I have is soles ..no tengo dollars I say..I ask her how much soles.. she says 400!! does she think I am stupid?? I just changed 100 dollars for 312 soles..her rates went up when I wanted to pay her her local currency

I then get kinda pissed but act cool and get up from the table and tell her hasta luego..

I walk to the bar and 2 hotties are there..one is my type and willing..for 100 dollars..

I offer 200 soles and promise a 100 sole propina if she does a good job..then she got pissed and walked away..it was kinda funny actually.

fuck it.. I took a cab back to the hotel at 3am ALONE and slept ALONE

About the Lido Inn -- I've seen them mentioned and I had questions.

You answered the first one (about room size and pricing) already.

How was the street noise? Were there air conditioners? TVs? Wireless (or hard-wired) internet access available?

That would have fucked with my head, too. Was it jealousy or a reliable tip? It turned out to be the latter -- I'm just glad that you were able to think with your small head!

yes the nido had a/c....and all rooms were hardwired hi-speed..free internet connection..cable TV with remote and lots of channels

not a bad hotel at all actually..if you don't mind a small room ..street noise was not too bad..especially at night...muy tranquilla en la noche
