I will be traveling to Cusco in June 2006 (yes, I will be there for Inti Raymi).

During research, I have discovered the 'Diario El Sol del Cusco', which has a section 'Serv. Especiale'.

Ladies make posts of their 'Special Services', such as the following:

". . . con besitos, tu seras mi amorcito S/.30"
". . . x por algo soy charapita S/. 30.00/hab"

If S/.30 = 30 Soles, then that is less than $10 US.

Is 30 Soles the starting price for negotiating? Or is it for everything?

Does S/.30.00/hab include the room? Is it safe? Of should I invite them to my hotel room?

Will I be quoted more than 30 Soles if I am from the U.S.? If so, how should I negotiate differently?

Any other helpful information about Cusco will be much appreciated.

I would hesitate to contact a girl for that price. You should be careful. There are many many girls looking for tourists and puting something in their drinks to rob them.

30 soles including room (as you well understood) seems too good to be true for me.

Look elsewere.

Yep, that's all what you have to pay if that is what is written in the news. No surcharge. Remember that there is no surcharge on any service duly advertised in the media no matter if you are a foreigner or not.

Usually, the price quoted in the advertisement says whether the service will be provided at the customer's hotel (delivery) or at the room of the girl. That's why it is important to arrange ALL the details of the service when you make the phone call. Thus, some Spanish command would help a lot. Avoid unpleasant misunderstandings due to lack of appropriate communication.

As I said before, there is no surcharge upon nationality. All the details should be fixed by phone.

mandalaypirate, pls. note that Cuzco is an expensive city. However, you could find food, clothes, travel arrangements and others catering different budgets. As usual, you get what you paid for. I agree with brother Tigre, you should avoid cheap connections. However, if you would like to get a delivery to your hotel you better be ready to expect someone who might not be the one of your expectations. Thus, try to get S/.10 handy to send the chick off politely if she is not the girlfriend you were looking for
