one chance to ask what may be a dumb question for our local friends,

To cut to the chase here my question is:

Why do the online ads for Peruvian ladies don't show their face?

I think being able to see the face of the girl would be of great value,
and if the reason is just tradition or customs and not the law, then
there could be a value added business opportunity here for someone
to make money in Peru.

I know I would gladly pay a premium, say a face tax, for girls that
advertise showing their face. I am not sure about fellow travellers
but I am sure that if an advertising site opened up that showed the
ladies faces it would win marketshare from the ones that don't show
the girls' faces, and would be able to brand itself as a premium site
and charge a premium for the advantage of being able to see who
is available to play with you.

The value to us should be obvious, but just in case I'll mention the
two most basic benefits: (a) you can be sure that the girl that you
end up with is actually the one in the photo in the ad; and, (b) the
selection of which lady best tickles your fancy would be a much
better experience for the user looking for a special lady.

You have to realize, being a prostitute isn't a glamour career. Most girls are not proud of it, I don't think any of them tell their family what they do.

Seeing as how Lima is a centralized city (most everyone in Peru comes by Lima at one time or other, as opposed to the states where a girl will move from one coast to the other, and the chances of people from her home town seeing her are remote), the chances of people seeing her ad is increased exponentially. More than likely the pros family is near where she works, and she wees them regularly, so keeping her pro status a secret is like it is for comic book superheroes.

Actually, its true shame and privacy is their main concern but Kuya pointed somethings we all have trouble with: the girl we end with might not be the girl we looked for or dont look as we thought she did.
