Some things that might help the Spanish impaired would be:

1. How to find the spanish directions to clubs, brothels, bars, etc. on the spanish half of the site. They are quite easy to find if you know spanish but can be a challenge if you don't. Simple this thread:this topic directions would be useful.

2. Directions to places in english, granted we might need the Spanish directions to tell the taxi driver but, if we know the way there we might be able to tell say, if the taxi driver is taking us to the Carcardas instead of the Troc. Even if we don't know a lot of spanish we can still read a map and street signs.

By the way, great sight. I am looking foward to many adventures in Peru helped along by the forum's vast knowledge!

P-Hunter,I just returned form my first trip two weeks ago and had a blast.I printed directions to most all the places I wanted to go from the Spainish forum for taxis and it worked great.Anouther tip is you can access the Spainish forum through google which has a option to translate but I have a translation program on my computer that works even better.There is a ton of valuble info over there as I am sure ther will be here in time.rbc100

I will try to apply your suggestion, since there is no mapquest for Lima. Remeber that directions can be given if I know the starting point, in many descriptions you have a reference besides the address. You may also want to call a cab from a dispatch service, many on the phonebook (taxi real, taxi seguro, etc..). That way you will greatly reduce your chances of being tricked.
