| Anticuchos - Barranco Anticuchos are one of my favorite Peruvian meals. Aside from pizza and pretzels nothing goes togther with an ice cold beer as well as skewered cow hearts. The ONLY place to eat anticuchos in all of Lima is:
Tio Mario - Barranco
Off the main circle in Barranco is an area with tents/markets for buying your standard Peruvian junk like wallets with painted-on llamas and who can go without another hand made purse, huh? Anyway, just past this area you will come to some stairs going down to a bridge. This is a very famous bridge in Barranco so you probably will not have a hard time findin it. Right here you'll see a huge blue 3 story restaurant named Tio Mario. They use to be located across the bridge in a small house. The best thing is, after almost a year in the new location they have not yet changed the menu, prices or food. It's still amazing. You can also order up some Picarones for desert if you have any room left! |
