This Italian restaurant is in an old home in Miraflores. The bar area is on the first floor, and the dining room and kitchen are on the second floor.

I've eaten here twice. The first time, I was alone. I had the beef carpaccio as an appetizer, a small pizza, and a ravioli dish as my main course. Everything was delicious, but I felt that the cost was a little high, when compared to the other high-end restaurants I've visited.

The second time, I took a date, and the girl was blown away. Blown away by the setup/location, blown away by the food, and blown away by the fact that I knew about such a cool place (I have given up asking chicas for restaurant recomendations). The food was equally good the second time, and for some reason, I didn't mind paying a little too much when I had a happy girl on my hands. And I'm not talking about a fortune -- The tab was about US$50 for the two of us, including two drinks for her and a couple of sodas for me.

As to location, the place is one block from the Paseo De la Republica (towards Parque Central) and one block past (away from the ocean) Av. Ricardo Palma. There's a map on their website. It's probably a 10 minute leisurely walk from Pizza Alley -- easily doable, if your date is not wearing heels. The atmosphere is not as great as Antigua Trattoria in Barranco, but the location in Miraflores is excellent, and the food was equally as good as the Barranco restaurant.

It's a pretty deserted block, but you will recognize the place by the security guard in front of the building. You'll have to walk to Ricardo Palma to get a cab after dinner, unless you remember to ask the waitress to tell the guard to find one for you while you're eating dessert.
