I'll be back to Peru in April. I loved the Maria Luisa in Miraflores and expect to return there as the matrimonial fit my budget ($20US). Anyone have recommendations for Arequipa hotels in my price range?
When in Arequipa I tend to avoid the big hotels and the downtown hotels, I tend to favor small new hotels in the more residential districts of Cayma and Yanahuara.
I usually go to Casa Guimo in Cayma where I pay S/.70 (US& 22.50) for a single bed room with Cable TV, Internet (hardwired) and a minibar; usually I get a big room with a four poster bed and an additional single bed (Ive gotten that same room three times last year) for the same price, since smaller rooms are in big demand and usually occupied. They will ask you for as much as S/.120.00 (US$ 38.00) for the single room but it is not hard to negotiate the price down.
When Casa Guimo is full, my other options are Hotel Astorga and Natura Inn. both in Yanahuara, a block apart from each other. Both offer the same quality of service for S/60.00 (US$ 19.00) except for the internet connection which is wireless and even if I haven't had any problem with it at the Astorga the signal is very weak in some rooms at the Natura.
The three places are within walking distance of the "Queens" which is my favorite Night Club in AQP (In fact, the 0nly one I frequent).

Hello !!!
Look, in Arequipa you can stay at Casa Andina Hotel, they accept girls at your room, don`t worry, 0nly talk with the boy at counter. The receptionist can give to you some phone numbers or call girls for you.
I hope you can understand my english, it`s so bad!!!!
Peru postponed until January, 2008. Sigh. I certainly will post upon my return. Thanks for the Arequipa recommendations! Prices and/or web link to the Casa Andina? Pues, bembos, ni hablo yo perfecto el castellano. Su ingles es bueno!
