Hello. RT here.

How do you say 'move', in relation to changing your place of residence? For example:

When I move to Lima, I am going to live in Jesus Maria.

or

Oh, her? She moved to another state and I don't see her anymore.

...and what the hell, how about:

Don't just lay there. Move!!!

Thanks!

You use the word "mudar"

Hi ..... I hope this can help you:

1.- When I move to Lima, I am going to live in Jesus Maria.

Cuando me mude a Lima, voy a vivir en Jesús María. (use of verb "mudar")

(or) Cuando vaya a Lima, voy a vivir en Jesús María (another way to say it using the verb "ir")

2.- Oh, her? She moved to another state and I don't see her anymore.

Oh, her? Ella se mudó a otro estado y no la he visto mas. (using the verb "mudar" in a past form)

3.- Don't just lay there. Move!!!

No te quedes ahi. Muévete!!! (In this case you are talking about a diferent action than the first and second sentence ....... here you must use the verb "mover")

See you!!

Very interesting but I thought this was a section for learning English, not Spanish;)
You are wrong. This is a section for foreign forists to report in English.
Unfortunately, during a server change, the entire "Field Reports" section got deleted and, with it, we lost a treasure in information.
