‎16 Years of Service‎
I went to Soy y Luna after lunch in Plaza San Miguel mall. It's nice but I think that it hasn't improved as the area surrounding Plaza San Miguel. So they can do more to have the place in better shape. The building is not bad so if they took care better of small details it would be a good place. Anyways, I'll return because it's discreet and has what I need.

1.- Name: Hostal Sol y Luna y Baños Turcos.

2.- Phone: 452-2452 - 464-5797

3.- Address: Av. La Mar 2378, San Miguel.

4.- Mirrors: Huge. Two of the walls had almost top to bottom mirrors, those ones surrounding the jacuzzi (take a look at the pics).

5.- Bathroom: Small but comfortable enough. Four towels in total: two for the shower and two for the jacuzzi. Two small soaps. Standard shower.

6.- Bed: Queen size. Good enough. Firm mattress but not hard. Clean.

7.- Cable TV: Yes, but I didn't turn it on so I don't know how it is.

8.- Room service: The basics.

9.- Jacuzzi: A big one. Filled up quickly, enough hot water. Bath bubbles in a small plastic cup.

10. - Air conditioner:
No

11.- Parking: Yes, big enough.

12.- Price: 50, 70 y 120 (with jacuzzi) soles. (I'm not completely sure about the 50 ant 70 rates... I asked for a room with jacuzzi in the first place)

A few pics of the room I booked:

My original post in Spanish about this hotel can be found here: http://perutops.com/foro-relax/f48/...os-turcos-452-2452-464-5797-a-124/#post623007

RT here. Thanks for filling us in. I have two questions:

1. Are the prices for a full day/night, or is that a '12 hour' rate?
2. I went to the Banos Turcos there once, and I found the massage 'rooms' very inhospitable. Can you get the 'massage' in your room, if you are staying there? I have the same question for the Cavin Spa, as well.

Thanks again. We really appreciate the input here in the English section from the local constituency.

Hi RT, answering to your questions:

1. I'm trying to remember if they asked me if I was going to stay for 12 or 24 hours and I think they didn't ask, so I asume that the rate is for the full day.

2. About the massage rooms, I didn't go to that area of the hotel, so I'm not able to tell about them. And, even though I didn't request "massage" service to my room, I know that they do provide that service.

While I was checking out I saw a beautiful young lady just waiting around the front desk... she had the type of a "masseuse", so... I think you can just go there and ask in the front desk for some company or massage.

Weird that this hostel does not have a theme (it has been mentioned it in the sauna forum but I did not find its theme here). This point it Good, Nice and Cheap (also well located)

Saturday afternoon, I met my lover and we went to "Amarilis Hotel" (another hostel near by) but to my great surprise it was full (it had never happened to me that I went to a telo in the afternoon and it was full), I asked the guy who works as a watchman if he would recommend another one and he told me "around the corner, the Sol y Luna" Neither short nor lazy we headed with my ship and indeed it was in a whole corner, somewhat difficult to get to because of the traffic but nothing serious, the garage has a direct entrance, they offered us a double room for 12 hours at S/80 and a room with a sauna at S/100 for 3 hours, we chose the Sauna:

1.- Name: Hostal Turkish Bath Sol y Luna (in google it appears as Luz y Luna).
2.- Telephone: 4522452.
3.- Website: I did not find
4.- Location: AV La Mar 2378 (Corner with a street called Rio Morona).
5.- Characteristics The building houses an hostel and a sauna (Cavin Spa Type), an old but well-preserved building, spacious rooms and garage, rooms with street views and optional private sauna / jacuzzi. I chose the room with sauna and Jacuzzi for S / 100
6.- Mirrors: Yes, in the bedroom and bathroom.
7.- Bathrooms: The shower is small (a couple comes in tight), with 4 medium towels and 2 soaps (there is hot water).
8.- Bed: Two-seater, resistant :).
9.- Cable TV: Yes (with porn channel).
11: - Air Conditioning, Heating, Wifi: There is a fan, no heating and I don't think wifi either
12.- Garage: It has a large internal garage on the first level, it is not completely covered (it has awnings in each parking slot) but it is a good entrance since you enter from the front with your car (the gate is open 24 / 7)
13.- They offer "extras": I don't think so, but there is no problem if you enter alone and then comes a lady (and she leaves before you).
14.- Extra facilities: I did not see anything special, the guy in reception attends kindly but is limited to that alone, they did not offer me alcohol for my hands.
15.- Prices: they offered me a main room at S / 80 for twelve hours and one with a Sauna at S / 100 for 3 hours (bed + bath + jacuzzi + steam sauna).
16.- Would you take your girlfriend (la firme)? I don't think so, it's great for an scort or lover.
17.- Final score: 7/10.
18.- Additional Information: good point to fall if you are in San Miguel.

Went to this hotel Sauna today, took some photos...
