I have this girl I like asking me to come back down. Airfares are over 1K from NYC. I'd pay it if I had good things waiting for me once I was on the ground.

From reading the forum in spanish and english it seems like most "cofrades" are upset with the current mongering situation. My old haunts have been tampered with.

Paying a few grand to hang out at the trocadero doesn't make sense. Am I missing something ?

I'd love to see her again( damn those pictures!) but what is left for me to do when she is at work ?

Worth it or not ?

Interesting article. Thank you for that. That seems pretty normal though since they aren't paying taxes like Las Cucardas etc. Those are the risks you take with running a business like that.

When you say "continues" does that mean other raids have been taking place and where ?

From reading the spanish section things just seem to be getting more expensive and service is diminishing. I'd love to come back and visit a girl I know but the airfare has nearly tripled. I could find reasonably priced lodging and food but WHAT ABOUT THE SLEAZE ?

It seems like every trip something else is gone.

A few month's ago there were several reports of them going after the Baños, and really cracking down on the places in Lince....

From reading - lot's of the places there (Lince) you could walk in for a quick s/40 pop are still closed.

I'd bet that Trome still has ads running in it daily - which can be fun .... but that's just my guess.

Wish I had the time and funds to go find out first hand ... but maybe someone in country could guide you with more certainty.
