RT here. I had heard of/seen/wanted to stop in the Hollywood Suites for a few years now, but I have never had the opportunity. The hotel is your classic 'hot sheets' joint, except that I have heard good things about the place, good enough to warrant the extra price that they command over some similar places in Lima.
My date and I arrived there at around midnight last Thursday evening. They have rooms ranging from 50 to 145 soles, with the cheaper ones very basic, all the way to themed rooms (stripper poles, etc.) at the 120 range and the Presidential Suite at 145 soles.
The San Miguel location is on a fairly quiet side street. The last thing you would have expected on that road was this hotel... that's good to know if you need to sneak in or out.
I asked for a Suite VIP (120 soles). They were sold out, the guy in reception said. They had smaller rooms and the Presidential Suite. I was intrigued by the chance to use a Tantric Couch, so I splurged on the bigger room.
Here, in no particular order, are the plusses and minuses of the hotel:
PROS
Would I return? Probably, under the right circumstances. I would either get one of the 120-Sol VIP rooms, or one of the more inexpensive ones next time.
Should you go there? Well, if you can't or don't want to take your date to your apartment or regular hotel, absolutely. It was clean, professionally-run, and no one went out of their way to make me feel uncomfortable due to my foreign-ness or lecherousness.
Here's some pictures of our room. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

PROS
- The receptionist was totally professional. My non-pro date was comfortable during check-in. Credit cards were OK.
- The room was huge
- The round bed in the Presidential Suite was VERY comfortable
- The sheets and towels were clean.
- The shower worked with good pressure
- The room had a Jacuzzi
- We had a 32" flat-screen TV
- There was also a stereo and DVD player
- The mini bar was semi-stocked, and the prices were fair (2 soles for my juice)
- Courtesy bottle of water in the room
- We called for a Pisco Sour, and it was delivered quickly. She said it was good.
- At check out, they asked me if I used anything from the minibar (didn't make me stand there while someone went and checked). I told him about the juice and the Pisco Sour, and he said that the Pisco drink was courtesia!
- Tantric Sofa
- The price was for all night, not a 6-hour rental. Many of these places charge more for entire day stays. Check out was noon.
- They brought up extra towels in the morning fairly quickly
- No heat or air conditioning, just a fan. We could have used a little heat that night.
- No blackout curtains
- The room faced the street
- I could not find a porno channel on the TV
- The Tantric Sofa wasn't as much fun as I had hoped it would be
- No elevator... the building is five floors
