Good afternoon. RT here.

One of my, ahem, friends asked me to make this post.

Is sildenafil (the generic version of Viagara) available over the counter in Peruvian drugstores? If so, what's the general pricing for 100mg. pills?

Also, my, ahem, friend wanted to know if the softtabs (the ones that dissolve in your mouth) are available, too.

My, er, friend thanks you.

My friend thanks you profusely. He was running low.

Also, my friend really likes the softtabs. He says that the regular pills dont kick in for him for about an hour and a half, but the softtabs got crankin' for him in about 30-40 minutes.

Now, if 0nly he can get his stash to last until October 13. :D

Good afternoon. RT here.

I am in a constant search for cheap generic viagara. I have been quoted anywhere from 4 to 9 Soles for a 100 mg tablet ($1.27- $2.86). I have found better prices in the non-chain stores, so I often stop in when I pass one. Well, today I did very well. During my walk this morning, I passed Boticas BVA on Av. Javier Prado Este #219, just off of the corner of Av. Petit Thouars. It's a small shop, right on the main drag. I asked the girl for Sildenafilo, she looked it up on the computer, and told me that they were three Soles each ($0.95). Jackpot! That's around what I paid for them in India, and everything is ridiculously cheap over there. I requested ten, and she went and got them and charged me 30 Soles. They are a brand that I have bought elsewhere for just over four Soles, so I was very pleased. The receipt says that they have 24-hour delivery, and their phone number is 421-8222. They also had a sticker on their window advertising the 'morning after' pill -- always good to know!

If you want to bring a couple of dozen back to the US, I'll take them off your hands.

Thanks, 'bare, that's awfully nice of you to offer. :D

I'm not sure which would be worse, the smuggling charge or the dispensing prescription drugs without a license charge.

But it doesn't matter -- I'm back already.

If you absolutely need to order some generic ED drugs, I know people that have had success with this* website.

RT here. It turns out that Botica BVA (see 28 January post) also sells 50 mg. tablets for two soles each.

That's good to know, especially if you usually wind up with half a pill crumbling to pieces in your wallet.

problem is he uses cialis here in the u.s.a.

he has used viagra before and it was very effective, but caused flushing. he 0nly needs half of the bigger dose, maybe a whole large dose would cause a boner that lasts for days and weeks. we wouldn't want that, now would we?

so what is the large dose, anybody know?

That one is easy, cialis is taladafil. In Peru is not as popular as sidenafil but you should be able to find it in a larger Botica (Pharmacy).
Make sure to put that Cialis to good use while in lima!

RT here.

From what I've heard, 100 mg is a large dose.

That's the amount my friend used to use, but he got lots of side effects.

Now he either breaks the 100s in half or just biys the 50mg size. No (or little) side effects, and excellent effect from the drug.

Or so they tell me. ;)

i just don't remember which dosage is best. i think half of a 100mg is about right. if it turns out that it was half of a 50mg, i guess it'll be like a jack hammer.

but back to the cialis for a moment. it is much more effective than viagra, at least for me.

i take 20 mg and it lasts for days.

there is no flushing, no headache, but there is a bit of a hangover the next day.

many thanks for the info, i will look for taladafil and 0nly use sildenafilo if absolutely necessary.

I've tried the 'big three': Levitra, Cialis, and vitamin V... I don't remember why I didn't like Levitra, 0nly that I didn't really like it(however, it works just fine). Cialis was much too subtle(IMHO) in comparison to V, but it lasted for at least 48 hours. V and generic V are my faves.

I don't know how healthy it is, but when I want my V to kick in fast, I make my warrior face, and chew up a 50mg, either a whole 50mg or a halved 100mg. *shivers* Bitter is one way to describe it... but if you have something strong to wash it down, either a soda or coffee(or insert your favorite alcoholic beverage here, for those of you who drink), it lessens the bite. I've tried doing this with water, with varying degrees of cringing, but it doesn't really do the trick like coffee or cola. I usually feel the effects in 20 minutes, and am raring to go in 30-40 minutes. But ymmv. Just some personal experience, for what its worth.

The soft tabs are common in Argentina. A friend there gave me some and there was no side effects whatsoever. I do not know if that is because you are dissolving it under your tongue but it was the bomb...

After checking the prices in some farmacies, "Boticas y Salud" had the lowest prices for the generic.

A box of 4 (50mg) soft pills S/18. Fab. in Colombia
A box of 10 (50mg) S/15. Fab. in Peru

Good Day Gents,

Can anyone advise if Cialis, or Viagra, or their generic substitutes are available over-the-counter in Lima ?

Thanks.

RT here.

I was told at a pharmacy that Cialis is not available (I asked for the generic, so I'm not sure about the actual brand-name product).

But yes, generic Viagra is abundant. Just read this thread!

Is it illegal to bring viagra or any generic pills to the U.S bought in Peru? If no how many pills can I bring not being stopped by U.S customs... Do you need to have a prescription? thanks for any info!

According to the Customs and Border Protection website:
U.S. residents entering the United States at international land borders who are carrying a validly obtained controlled substance (other than narcotics such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, or LSD), are subject to certain additional requirements. If a U.S. resident wants to bring in a controlled substance (other than narcotics such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, or LSD) but does not have a prescription for the substance issued by a U.S.-licensed practitioner (e.g., physician, dentist, etc.) who is registered with, and authorized by, the Drug Enforcement Administration to prescribe the medication, the individual may not import more than 50 dosage units of the medication into the United States. If the U.S. resident has a prescription for the controlled substance issued by a DEA registrant, more than 50 dosage units may be imported by that person, provided all other legal requirements are met.
We're not lawyers here, but if I were going to bring something back with me, I would print the web page from the CBP people. I would also read the entire page on the internet, and not just rely on this excerpt.

Never found Cialis either..Odd that they don't - but this is Peru !

Plenty of generic V .. some good, some not so good - but from my experiences - usually 0nly sold in 50mg pills. You just have to shop around and try some out.

For my $ - cheaper to just order online from India...Never had a problem yet.

Sildenafilo - what is the current price right now in Peru... I was in Peru 2 weeks ago and bought 4 pills for 33 soles..... I don't know if I got ripped off or what but I was reading the thread and saw that it was going for 3 soles per pill..... The one I bought came in a beige box and the pills were soft gels.... thanks for any info!
