‎19 Years of Service‎
Hello. RT here.

I was nosing around the internet, looking at prices for flights within Peru, and it seems that Star Peru was coming up cheaper than Lan in almost every combination.

Does anyone have any experience/recommendations to share about Star Peru? Also, any comments about any other 'domestic' airlines would be welcome... I'm curious.

Thanks!

I have flown them a few times...
The planes are Ok, The service is good and importantly their safety record is intact.
I have also never experienced any delays with them ...
So if LAN is a 10 I would give them an 8..
When considering the lenght of the flight normally 1hr -1hr.15mins..Not a problem.

I remember flying Trans..in Peru around 2002 this now defunct airline had the distinction of the worst safety record in the world.
It had 5 planes over a period of 2 years or 3 of them crashed for various reasons killing all on board each time.

RT I don't know is same in Start Peru, but in LAN the cheaper prices is 0nly to peruvian. be careful with that.

Star Peru is not the best airline to Peru, but it's OK.

I traveled to Cajamarca in Feb. 2009 and to Cuzco in Oct. 2009. Star Peru had the lowest prices. Just buy your ticket at least five days in advance to get the best price. Service is equal or better than Lan Peru. I haven't experienced any delays.

I have flown them a couple of times.
So far always on time....
Aircraft a little slower than Lan..(flight might take 15% longer or have a stop over.)
But I would recommend them.
More importantly the plane looked safe and well maintained..
Usually cheaper than Lan..like you noticed.
