Here's a couple of pics of the hotel I stayed in Tarapoto. The daily rate is 80 soles, includes breakfast and is conveniently located less than a block from the Plaza de Armas. I asked a hotel employee if Miguel (Mike) still works there. He told me that he did. He can get chicas to your room for a fee.
The Via Rosa is a brothel that is about 20 minutes from the Plaza via mototaxi. I went there on a Wednesday evening at around 8pm and the quality of available chicas was low. The place has a large bar where locals were drinking. After spending less than 15 min, I headed back to town. I didn't get laid in Tarapoto but did all the tourist stuff.
