• The Hacienda opened its new (large) room. I was hoping that they'd make room for more table games, but it doesn't look like it. Maybe they're still working...

• Casino Miraflores was closed last night. I didn't ask anyone anything, but this isn't a surprise. The place has been a graveyard on my last few visits.

• Atlantic City had a $2 blackjack table (down from $3) last night.

• Both the Marriott and the Hacienda were virtually 100% non-smoking (they both had very small smoking areas). It was a pleasure coming home and not smelling like an ashtray.

• Hacienda still has the prettiest drink girls in Miraflores; the casino in the Hotel Los Delphines takes the prize in San Isidro.

Well, thanks to tonight's efforts on my part, all three Avenue Larco casinos will be able to pay dividends to their investors!

The Fiesta is bigger, shinier, newer and everything else -er you can think of.

There's a bar/club/restaurant. There's a separate poker room. They give a good exchange on the dollar. It's across the street from a 24-hour supermarket.

I don't like it. Don't ask me why; I'm not sure that I have a reason -- I just don't. But I don't like the Marriott much either... I'm a Hacienda/Atlantic City kinda guy.

I like the Golden Palace much better than other casinos in Lima. This is of course my own biased opinion since I'm a local there and I'm treated very well by dealers and waitresses, oh man, some of them are damn hot.

From someone who knows a little about casinos in peru
Goldern Palce just happens to be the biggest casino in Peru in terms of slots 1300 of them..
It is owned by the Sam Holding Group a peruvian chinesse family.
They also own the Hacienda in Av Larco,Wa Lok in Miraflores.
they have just also bought Miama, Cococabana and Silver Moon.
This company is now clearly the biggest casino operator in Peru so they must be doing something right ??

The Atlantic City Casino now has some of its tables operating in Soles. The Blackjack tables are five and 10 Soles. I did not check the other minimums. These tables are on the side closer to the cashier booth.

The best part of this is that you can now get a very favorable exchange rate at the cashier booth in the 'new' part of the casino. Before, you could 0nly change in the the old building, and they gave you a hassle on anything over US$50.

Also, you can rest assured that both Atlantic City and the Hacienda will be staying open for quite a while, especially after the run of 22s I have gotten the last few days.

open Daily 24 Hours. The Casino has 178 slot machines and 2 tables

I've played around w/ the slots there, but never won more than a few bucks - which I later blew again (or blew on one of the local girls....) Diablito

Not into table games, so I don't know exactly what they offer.

It's a good cheap way to kill some time and blow a few bucks.

RT here. It seems that Atlantic City Casino has seriously upgraded the quality of the drink girls around the gaming tables. What was once an assortment of pretty girls is now a collection of very pretty girls. I applaud the change.

Disclaimer: things change quick in the casinos, but it was a real pleasure to ask for stuff this week.

The Blackjack minimums at both the Hacienda and the Fiesta Casino are now 10 Soles. It doesn't seem to stop anyone from playing, however.

Miami Casino remains at five Soles for Blackjack.

At the Fiesta Casino, they have gotten rid of those dealing machines at all of the BlackJack tables. Also, they now have a Craps table hidden away in a corner. The sign said $5 minimums on the outside, and $1 bets were allowed inside on the numbers. The sign clearly stated that the bets at the Craps table were in dollars.
