Sure... you can negotiate everything. But 0nly .01 or .02, so you have to decide if it is worth the effort.

Haha yeah, that's what I figured since their margins seem to be pretty thin. I guess my time is better spent negotiating with taxistas and chicas then.

Comments: I bought chips for 200USD, saw several other people buying 400-500USD worth of chips without any problems at all. I got soles back when I exchanged my chips, so you can use the casino as a casa de cambio if they have better rates than other places.

COMMENTS: I asked out of curiousity, he said 2.79, I said "no gracias" and he then said 2.80 but wouldn't go any higher.
It also seems like the rate is a bit better if you're not right next to Parque Kennedy, but I guess that it should have been obvious to me that that's the case. The difference is still 0nly 0.01 soles, so I guess it isn't worth all that much except avoiding a bunch of loose change.

COMMENTS: In the fiesta, sometimes when I would go to the Caja to change dollars, they would set a limit at either $20 or $40. But when I asked the workers giving out the sorteo tickets to change the money for me, they would always changes $100 without a problem.

For the first time, I got a hard time cashing dollars at the window on the first floor... she limited me to $50. Previously, I changed as much as $250 at one time there.

Well, I guess that's just another excuse to talk to the pretty drink girls at the casino.
