Turn on the lights

I know that turn off the lights is "apagar la luz" but how do you say "turn on the light"?

"Prende la luz"...that will do very dry.

Now, you could add: "prende la luz para poder culearte mejor"...but it's not very gentlemenly.

If you want to gain points with courtesy you say: "prende la luz para apreciar tu belleza".

There you go...
